H-Piles

H-Piles are structural beams that are dimensionally square, most commonly driven into soil for deep foundation applications to support large buildings and bridges. The design of H-Piles provides the ability to transfer structural loads to stronger soil layers deep below the initial layers, and are sufficiently rugged for driving in soil conditions that other piling couldn't begin to penetrate. H-Piles are also commonly used for "soldier beam and lagging" construction in braced excavations such as building and subway foundations. Available in 10", 12", and 14" lengths.

  • ASTM A572 – US Standard specification for high-strength low-alloy structural steel.  This specification covers five grades of high-strength low-alloy shapes intended for riveted, bolted, or welded construction of bridges, or for other construction applications. Gr. 50 and 60
  • ASTM A588 – US Standard specification for high-strength low-alloy structural steel.  This specification covers shapes for welded, riveted, or bolted construction but intended primarily for use in welded bridges and buildings where savings in weight or added durability is important. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of this steel in most environments is substantially better than that of carbon steels with or without copper addition.
  • ASTM A690 – US Standard specification for high-strength low-alloy Nickel, Copper, Phosphorus Steel H-Piles and Sheet Piling. This specification covers use in the construction of dock walls, bulkheads, excavations, and like applications in marine environments. 

PZC™ Sheet Piling

​​​​​​​​​​​​​Gerdau PZC™ sheet piling sections are wider, lighter and stronger than traditional Z-profile sheet piling. Featuring the preferred North American ball-and-socket interlock, PZC™ piling provides greater degrees of swing and flexibility than alternative Z-profile sheet piling sections, making it easier to set, drive, and establish precise wall layouts. Gerdau PZC™ sheet piling is commonly used in marine, foundation, transportation and environmental applications.​

PS Flat Sheet Piling

​​​​Typically used in civil construction for cellular designs, PS Flat Sheet Piling sections have low beam strength, but can resist high tensile loads through the interlocks. The geometry of the three-point interlock contact provides exceptional capacity to transfer tensile loads, but still allows ten degrees of swing in either direction for standard lengths. Hot-rolled Gerdau PS Flat Sheet Piling is available in two sizes, PS 27.5 and PS 31, and in three grades, A690, A572-50 and A572-60.
